The
International Academy of Euphony has the honour of possessing within
its archives of recordings, the complete catalogues of the labels 'Edelweiss Emission' and 'Syntony'. In both cases, the inspiration that
motivated each one of these excellent recordings (which are highly
regarded on an international level by the public, audiophiles and
specialist critics) is the purity of Sound, the magnificence of the
chosen acoustic spaces and the careful selection of repertoire and
artists.
In their time, a large number of musicians have recorded works from
an antique, classical and traditional repertoire, in venues that
include the Scuola Grande di San Giovanni Evangelista, Rosslyn Hill
Chapel, Tonhalle of Zurich, Roggenburg Kirche, Abbey Road Studios
and Barocksaal in Ossiach, and many others. Musicians of the
magnitude of the baritone and orchestra conductor Dietrich
Fischer-Dieskau, the cellist Franco Maggio Ormezowski, the
clarinetist Antony Morf, the ensemble Ars Antiqua de Paris, the
baritone Wolfgang Holzmair, the pianist
Daniel Levy, the organist
Thierry Mechler, the sitarist Ravi Shankar, the sitarist and sarod
player Imrat Khan, the chamber orchestra Reina Sofía and the
Philharmonia of London.
The International Academy of Euphony offers to those who are
interested (both individuals and institutions) these representative
collections, which include unpublished recordings, as well as the
re-edition of some currently inaccessible recordings.
The editions, under the aegis of the Academy, are instruments of
high artistic value, and at the same time possess great pedagogical
and educational value. The money received from the sale of the
series will be returned in its entirety to the completion of new
recording projects and to the re-edition of the catalogue of its
documental estate.
The archive also contains a series of radio broadcasts in Spanish,
named “El Sonido de la Vida’ (The Sound of Life), created and
conducted by Daniel Levy. These broadcasts will soon be available to
the public.
