An outstanding Indian Classical Music concert with the virtuoso sarod player WAJAHAT KHAN, son and nephew of the legendary maestros Ustad Imrat Khan and the late Ustad Vilayat Khan, representing the eighth generation of India's most distinguished dynasty of sitar and surbahar players.

WAJAHAT KHAN has performed to great acclaim at prestigious venues and festivals in over 40 countries worldwide, including the Kremlin - Moscow, Smithsonian - Washington DC, Suntori Hall - Tokyo, and Royal Albert Hall (BBC Proms) - London.

WAJAHAT KHAN will be performing for the first time in Lugano, at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Lugano on Saturday 22nd September 2012.

The concert is organized by the International Academy of Euphony, proud promoters of European and Extra-European classical music.

The concert is one of the events that will take place during the “Month of Culture” in the city of Lugano and is under the patronage of the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Italy.
